WCCI works with communities, women and grassroots groups to promote and teach the practice of agroforestry and intercropping, which is the practice of planting trees together with traditional farming food products. To support this effort we:

  • Build indigenous tree nurseries where native trees and plants are reared and sold.

  • Provide training on collecting native seeds,

  • Teach communities how to propagate plants, and

  • Build awareness about the role trees and native plants play in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
